  1. no no. Islam is surrounded by prayer to Allah. nabi Muhammad sallalahu alayhi wa salaam use to pray multiple times, more than just 5 prayers.

in Ramadan without prayer is not Ramadan. if someone didnt pray, they didnt achieve purpose of Ramadan.

if someone fasted without their prayer, then their deed of fasting is meaningless.

if a person is a good person to others & dies in not believing in Allah, their deeds are meaningless.

    Islam=Prayer, Ramadan=Prayer

**** tell your friends, if they dont pray to Allah, they are not muslim. if they dont pray to Allah, they are a disbeliever & disbelievers are not Rewarded with the Garden of Paradise.

    as salaamu alaykum

  2. Whats the use of fasting when one doesnt pray :) ?

It is a must to pray, one should not miss even one time prayer purposely..So it counts a lot when u don't pray :)

But if suppose u miss a prayer and u have a good reason for itt then i guess it can be forgiven..

My friends fast but they dont pray, i really feel bad bout that :(

I hope they start praying soon..

  3. the only thing they'll gain from their fast will be hunger-

they are not fasting for Allah but more for themselves-

to feel that they've accomplished somthing.

so i wanna say no- it won't count.

  4. The five pillars of Islam...

    Shahadah

    Salah

    Zakat

    Sawm(Ramadan)

    Hajj

We all abide and follow the 5 pillars, because these are the foundations of Islam.

If any one pillar is removed... Islam collapses.

Prayer is a must. Fasting is a must. Both must be done.

  5. Yes.

    Fast is seperate from prayer.

  6. no. it does not. there are *plenty* of hadeeths to support this.

i only know this one at the top of my head...

    the prophet muhammed said:

one who while fasting does not guard his tongue from telling lies and does not refrain from bad deeds, is not respecting his fast. Allah does not approve of mere abstination from food.

so, if doing things like lying or cussing or insulting people during ramadan breaks your fast, wouldnt you think that not praying (one of the pillars of islam!) would break your fast?

  7. i guess

my dad says it counts but its not good to not pray

but i personally think thats it is very bad if someone doesnt pray all year long, and ramadan comes around they start to pray

    and then stop afterwards

  8. Is it permissible to fast without praying?:

    http://www.islamqa.com/en/ref/49698

The Prophet (SAWS) stated that "what stands between an individual and kufr and shirk is As-Salah".

  9. It doesn't count if the person is a fast woman.

  10. god says in the Holy Quran :

That day mankind will issue forth in scattered groups to be shown their deeds.

And whoso doeth good an atom's weight will see it then,

And whoso doeth ill an atom's weigh will see it then.

    --------------------------------------...

the important thing is which deeds will wight more in the judgment day.

  11. There is no such thing. Fasting is an independent rite and SALAT is an independent rite. There is no interdependency.

  12. The fast of one who does not pray

Question: We need to know the ruling about the fast of one who does not pray (obligatory prayers)?

Response: One who does not pray, (then) his fast is not correct and it is not acceptable from him. This is because the one who does not pray is a kaafir and apostate (murtad), as Allaah (subhaanahu wa ta'aala) says: {But if they repent, offer prayers perfectly and give zakaah, then they are your brethren in religion} [Soorah at-Towbah, Aayah 11]. And also the statement of the Prophet (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam): ((The agreement which is between us and them is the salaah, so he who leaves it has disbelieved)), and also His (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) saying: ((Between the man and shirk and kufr is leaving the salaah)). And certainly this is the statement of the general Companions, if it is not a concensus amongst them. 'Abdullaah Ibn Shaqeeq (rahimahullaah) who was amongst the prominent Taabi'oon said: ((The Companions of the Prophet (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) did not see the leaving off of any actions to be kufr except the prayer)). And based upon this, if a person was to fast whilst he did not pray, then his fast is rejected and unacceptable and there is no benefit for him in front of Allaah on the Day of Judgement. And we say to him: Pray then fast, as for fasting and not praying then your fast is rejected because (any) act of worship is not acceptable from a kaafir.
