  1. Probably not. Stress is a very common part of being a Police officer, and it also makes people stutter more than normal.

Imagine having to use the radio in a crucial situation and you can't get the words out to call for  help, or to direct other officers who are on route to your location.

You probably won't get thru the initial interview process.

Not every one can  qualify to become a Police officer, thats why we  don't have patrol cops in electric wheelchairs., or blind canine officers.

  2. If it can be controlled or overcome.  If it interferes with questioning a suspect, no.  Work on the stutter, I know of a couple of officers that had stuttering issues that were able to control them after practice.

  3. Not sure, but James Earl Jones use to stutter (voice of Darth Vader), so it must be possible to get help and overcome it (he has made a fortune using his voice).  Do some research to see what he did. Good Luck!

  4. .   Yes.  You may make an excellent police officer.  It's your brain that makes a good officer, not your voice.
