Does the way that Bush is portrayed of handling Katrina will have any effect on Mccain? I am sure the liberal media will try to use it as a tool to somehow hurt Mccain.

  1. i like the way bush took the responsibility for it even though it was not his fault. he showed tremendous character. those people also were ordered to evacuate and the governer of louisiana was approached by bush, i think, three times? to offer help and was turned away as she thought her guardsmen could handle the situation, up until it was too late. governer blanco i believe....i would say that the truth eventually comes to the top. they would be wise probably to stay away from this one as all the real details are now available to everyone that wants to check them. this would undermine the picture they painted of bush and therefore the republican party in general. but then there  was obama saying "...as new orleans drowned". very provocative words, not very bright though.

  2. No... And Bush DID send people over to help.  What else would you like him to do?

  3. If Gustav has enough of an impact, Obama will be running unopposed.

  4. Bush and the neocons will blow away to h**l. Let's keep our fingers crossed. Those b@stards should be put right in the middle of Hurricane Gustav

  5. the hurricane will have no affect but if GWB replays a response similar to that of katrina then he's going to torpedo McCain's swiftboat.

  6. Bush partied down while New Orleans drowned.   He was on vacation  par usual.    The man took more vacations than Carnival Cruise Lines.

I don't think the hurricane will do too much to detract from the convention unless it drowns half the Republican delegation.   I doubt seriously that America could be that lucky.
