  1. Tort Reform! (this is a major one)

allow negotiation of drug prices in Medicare and Medicaid (they can't negotiate under the current system)

Lessen FDA regulations on when drugs can be tested and released. Too many drugs can't get on the market because extraneous regulations do not allow them to test when they should because they have to keep researching effects they could find out more easily with testing.

  2. The single stroke action that the government can take that would cut billions of dollars out of health care costs without reducing the quality of service at all would be to prohibit lawsuits against health care providers.  There are individual physicians paying a quater of a million dollars per year just for liability coverage.  That comes right out of your pocket and goes right into the pockets of lawyers.

  3. I don't think the government should necessarily TAKE OVER the health-care system, but it should start with tort reform.

It should regulate the insurance companies...

It could help to make sure that everyone can get medical help, but not necessarily provide it.  Keep it affordable by individuals but allowing negotiations for med prices, etc.

  4. The Government should be left out of it.Lazy people need to get off their but and work , So the taxpayers can afford their own insurance, and not have to support people that don't work.
