My boyfriend doesn't have a drivers license or insurance. He always drives my car. I know i shouldn't let him, but i'm sick of driving him around. What happens if he wrecks it? Does insurance cover anyone who drives my car?

  1. If the insurance company finds out he is a regular user and he is not listed, they can deny your claim and possibly any liability claim filed against you.

However, if he just uses it every once and awhile, and you give him permission to use the vehicle, he and you are covered.

Your boyfriend should either take public transportation or get a license and get his own car.  Your decision to let him use the vehicle could be costly.

  2. If he does not have a drivers license, your insurance will not pay.  Don't let him drive.  If something should happen, You, not him,  could be paying for it the rest of your life

  3. Others have given you good advice with regards to the insurance question, so I'll address the other issue: your boyfriend is a freeloader. Tell him to get a job, insurance, and his own car in that order, or let him take the bus, walk, or ride a bike until he has his own transportation. He's costing you money every week, and that's if he doesn't wreck your car and get you sued (yes, you could get sued if he was at fault in an accident).

You absolutely should not allow an unlicensed driver to drive your car. It's illegal for him to do so, and probably illegal for you to knowingly provide an unlicensed driver a car to use.

Or, just get a new boyfriend.

  4. Which is worse, being sick of driving him around or having him wreck and you footing the bill.

You should ask your insurance agent - many will cover other drivers IF they are legally allowed to drive (you know, have a license?)

Tell BF to get his act together, get a license and his own car.

    Or drive him around.

  5. If he wrecks ur car, bend over... u be payinggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

  6. Most insurance will cover any licensed driver who has your permission to drive your car, but I don't think anybody will cover a driver without a drivers license.

  7. The bottom line is there is no coverage afforded to your accident if your boyfriend is in an accident.  If he goes and totall your vehicle I bet he becomes your ex boyfriend pretty fast.  Then you will have to find someone to drive you around.  Maybe a boyfriend with a car?

  8. no it only covers you so better make sure he doesnt. or he doesnt get opuleed over youy could get in seruiosu trouble.
