  1. You can call your state department of labor and report it, and they'll light a fire under your employer.

Or usually if you just tell the employer that if you don't get it by some particular date, you'll be forced to call....  that will usually get them moving.

Depending on your state, they might have as long as the next regular payday to get it to you.

  2. They have to give it to you but if they don't you can go to workplace site and you can make a formal complaint about them. They are really friendly and polite and after all looking out for us.

  3. In virtually all states, if you quit voluntarily they don't have to pay you until the next regularly scheduled payday.  A few states do require you to be paid sooner if you are laid off involuntarily.  If you are not paid by the next regularly scheduled payday, contact your State Department of Labor.

  4. Ask you former employer as nicely as you can to please give you your last paycheck.

If he refuses, tell him that you are going to report him to the State Labor Department.  Hopefully, this will jack him up and he will issue you the check immediately.

If he doesn't pay you, immediately call your State Labor Board.  You can file a grievance against the company.  Be patient.  You may get this settled quickly or it could drag out for a while.

I certainly hope you get your money SOON!

  5. they have to give you your last pay check
