I'm not interest in the rural areas. I live in the city and my neighbor downstairs planted vegetables in our common area and I'm afraid it will attract rodents.

  1. It's likely that the garden will attract a variety of small animals like squirrels, mice, bunnies, etc. If you are concerned about any of these, consider talking to your neighbor about installing some natural deterrents.

  2. Have you no cats?I live 4 blocks from downtown Reno and we all have gardens here. Only 2 rodents in 6 years.Plenty of raccoons though.

  3. I was a member of a community garden in the middle of Los Angeles.  We grew vegetables galore, and we had little or no rodent problem.  Rodents generally like what people like; and most people don't like veggies!  :)
