Considering since we humans are an average of 5-6 feet and compared to animals that have once walked the Earth, we are darn small.

What if, proposing a hypothetical question. Alien life on other planets were a lot bigger than us humans, think elephant size. No one said intelligent life had to be our size, all the Star Trek craziness merely made it so. Think large intelligent beings, wouldn't it be easier for them to explore the universe?

Think an ant in a house, that place is like a country to it. For us, its merely a house.

What if..? Hypothetically speaking of course.

  1. Like we were then perhaps!

  2. if there was a gaint on other plants and we found them i think we would be X_X

  3. I've asked a question similar to this on another set of forums, and it eventually boiled down to, why are humans the size we are? It has to do with surface area to volume ratios. When you size things up, volume increases at a much faster rate than surface area. There begins to be trade-offs and at some point you must realize that the surface area of the body isn't large enough to compensate for the body's overall volume, making it inefficient or impossible. Kind of like a giant alien wouldn't have enough body surface area to sweat. It's hard to explain and I'm sure I did a terrible job of it.

  4. what if.... we never will find out?

its a big universe... no, wait... its a BIG UNIVERSE out there and the likelihood of an alien first contact is just about the same as winning the Lotto.... twice... without ever buying a ticket.
