Question:

What if my SAT scores are wrong?

I just received my SAT scores and I'm a little doubtful... I've taken it twice and my score dropped by 100 points. I'm pretty sure there must have been a mistake, as I was very prepared for this SAT.

How can I check with collegeboard? Call them?

  1. Did you order the thing that will send you your answers and the questions?

  2. Here's the scoop....in 2006 the College Board wrongly scored over 4000 SAT's up to 100 to 150 points low.  I just received my son's scores and they are truly 100 to 150 points off in each category.  I am paying the 50.00 to have them hand scored.  If they are wrong they refund the 50.00.  It's worth it in case they are wrong.  If you have a feeling something is not right, go for the hand score.  It could mean a great deal in your college choices and decision to take the SAT again or even sign up for some expensive prep course....

  3. They didn't mess up the scoring...

It costs about $25, so save your money...

  4. if you really think something is wrong, wait for the score report and ask your college advisor. On mine they messed up my writing section, i requested a rescore and went from a 530 to a 700 on writing.

yeah, whatever you want to call it. Mine referenced me to the paperwork you have to send in to request a recore
