What if my period starts to act up?

Question

Well I am 17 years old. and My period has come for about 11 days.

Before it was 14 and I was given birth control until it sickened me so my aunt made me get off it.

I'm not sexually active in anyway so now I wonder:

what should I do?

and this isn't normal is it?

i would say its normal sweetie , u properly still have your irregular period still , it takes a lot of time for your period to develope more . thats all and other words its totally normal for all woman , so dont worry about to much ok try to think postive of your body ok . just be patience w/ your body and its ready to release and it would release on its own . i know how u feel when it comes to periods , i hate it when i get my period as well cause everytime i get it and everytime i walk the part i hate the most when my period drip and drop and get very very bad cramps. so u see it's normal for all the woman in the world . so dont worry about your period it would come soon enough , just continute to be your have , have fun w/ your life and enjoy of being a beautiful woman that you are ok

The question is a little hard to understand. From what I can gather, your period is usually 14 days long and now it has only lasted for 11 days. This could just be it settling down into a more manageable pattern as you get older, which obviously is nothing to worry about and should make things a whole lot eaiser for you.

Secondly, go back to your doctor and TALK about different forms of contraception that could suit you better. There are lots and lots of different options available to women these days and I'd be really suprised if you couldn't find one that's for you after a little trial and error.

You probably just have to deal with it. Or take tyroid medicine. it sounds like you have an overactive thyriod.
