  1. Take it to your local recycling center and ask them....But, it  usually is, as long as it's not trash.... If you don't know where the recycling center is, ask the person who takes your recycled items, they usually come to pick up recycling later in the day.

  2. I would try to use them first - organize your closet or desk with peanut containers or glass jars that your olives came in. There are so many ways that we can reuse the things that we throw away.

  3. Some programs take just PETE (1) and HDPE (2). Others will take all plastics. The other plastics are quite safe; you buy food in them, don't you? The only way you might get into trouble is by using a non-food container for food without a thorough cleaning. They sometimes are coated with the chemicals used to facilitate popping them out of the molds. The only plastic items that I would never re-use are the ones used to package things like pesticides, motor oil, and other nasty stuff. Plates, cups, bowls, and other containers can be reused as long as they are sound.

  4. Actually Plastic Container or Takout Containers cannot be recycled according to my research.

So, best way to clean the food stain, then saved it.

Right now, I am reusing Jar of Club Mix snack and I'm using it to store my chips or snacks that already opened.

  5. Keep it

  6. consult your local government's website or just find a site that you can research the topic.

  7. Keep them until you have no more use for them, then pass them on or take them to the recycling depot to see what they can do.

It makes no sense to throw out something because it is not recyclable so you can buy something that IS recyclable.
