What if not using a Bank of America account?

Question

Iam a not US resident, when I was in US I did open a bank of america check account in 2005. I did send some money till 1 year ago to keep it open. Now it is 12 months that I dont send anything, and I can not access it online anymore. What happened, did they freeze it or closed it? What will happen if now that I am going back to US Ito live and work I wish to open another account? Will I have a bad credit or what else since I did not keep the old one active? thanks

checking account right?  likely they froze the account for lack of activity.  i don't see why they wouldn't allow you to re-open the same accoutn or a new one.  and it shouldn't affect your credit since it's a checking account.
