like our dreams are real but just another part of ourselves, like our spiritual minds. like when you're awake and you get hit by a truck you feel it and in our dreams if you get hurt you feel it also. like i never got shot before but when you're dreaming you get shot and it feels real like you got shot already.

  1. Our dreams are indeed indicating additional dimensionality.

This is similar to our thoughts:  some thoughts are about cooking, sports, God....

Thus we are sometimes more in our spiritual self, whether in thinking, feeling, or dreaming.

One error of awareness is to categorize all dreams as meaningless, by way of discounting their import.   This is similar to denying one has soul, inner child awareness, and so on.

Dreams can blend into lucid awareness, and then into out-of-body experience.

"The Great Divorce," C. S. Lewis,

    "Dreams," Marilyn Barrick, Ph.D.,

"The Master of Lucid Dreams," Dr. Olga Kharitidi, "Watch Your Dreams," Ann Ree Colton, and

"The Masters and Their Retreats," Mark Prophet, provide a kind of progression of authorial awareness.

  2. Well, I've never been shot, but I have had dreams where I was falling and I actually hit the ground. Nothing was broken or anything like that, but I didn't bounce or land lightly. It was wild, because when I woke up later (like, a few hours later in the dream), my entire body was aching, as if from the slam into the ground.

I think your theory is extremely plausible, and many people would give stories backing this up. =]

  3. That would b so awsome. I think that sometimes but idk lol

  4. Yes, I definitely think that our dreams can be another whole persona to ourselves.  I know we all have a variety of dreams in our lifetime.  I just wish there was a better way to remember them.  I think just with the fact that we have some recollection of them while sleeping / when we awake, it must prove our mind has the conscious ability to think while sleeping.  If we could get this figured out, I think the stage of dreaming could also help us understand ourselves better when awake.

Interesting question. I love it.  I am going to put more thought into this.  Thanks.

  5. yea definitely.. pretty good debate... i dont know much about dreams but you should watch the movie "waking life" its about dreams and reality and a whole bunch of philosophies and theories.. its very good and puts you in a pretty cool state of mind.

  6. You got it girly. The spiritual world.

  7. I've always wondered if that might be true;  that we are living separate lives when we're asleep.  Another take on that idea is that we actually create our waking world as well.  Just like walking in a shallow pool is different from walking on dry land, the differences between dream creativity and waking creativity might only be slightly different.  Experiment with your thoughts and you'll be surprised at what manifests.  I've had some pretty wild results.  There is so much incredible stuff available to us.  When we're not so preoccupied by day-to-day drama, we can experience some very interesting things in this world.

  8. Sometimes it is.Stuff gets buried deep down comes out in dreams.

  9. Dreams are the brains way of taking a vacation! So sit back and enjoy the ride!
