What if pretty boy gayweather would have moved down to 140 when he fought hatton? Would the result have been different? I think so cuz hatton doesn't have any power at 147!

  1. I think "Money", "Pretty Boy", "Running Boy" or whatever his name is now, would have still defeated Hatton at junior welterweight. Hatton having comfort in his power at his normal weight class wouldn't have made a difference. Hatton wouldn't have leaded anything significant to harm Mayweather, who would also be more natural as well, being at junior welterweight.

  2. Mayweather would beat Hatton every time at every weight with every referee period. He didn't just beat him he gave him a boxing lesson. I hear there is talk of a rematch which is just easy money for Mayweather & a farce for boxing. He should fight Cotto to prove he is still the best. I m English by the way & i like Hatton but facts are facts

  3. Don't forget that Mayweather began his pro career at 130.  At 147, Mayweather is fighting 17 pounds over his natural weight, whereas Hatton was fighting 7 pounds over.  At 147, both men were comfortable, and Hatton lost all but one round.  Let's stop all the excuses, Hatton got blasted, dropped twice.  After the second knockdown, Ricky didn't get up.  He had to be picked up off the canvas.
