Question:

What if the Ark that Noah and his family traveled on was in reality a spaceship?

It doesn't negate God or anything, just that the flood was not necessarily here and the destruction of the Earth could have been a different planet altogether.

If the ship landed here only 6,000-10,000 years ago, that would explain much.

Don't freak out... I'm just asking a question and not trying to destroy anyones beliefs. Just asking about an alternate theory.

  1. Maybe, and they put the 1.4 million animals X 2 on the space ship. That make as much sense as putting 1.4 million animals X 2 on a ark. WAIT

I'm get the reality button out so you all can push it.

  2. woa, thats actually a good idea...

  3. We were at the beach

    Everybody had matching towels

    Somebody went under a dock

And there they saw a ship

    But It wasn't a ship

    It was a rock lobster

  4. Interesting, but false. Noah "built the ark" according to the Bible and it also floated. You're not destroying my beliefs at all. Peace.

  5. That's pretty interesting. I suppose when they said the ark floats it could have been on air. I didn't think Mick Jagger was That old though.

  6. It still wouldn't explain the fossil record or the composition of the earth's materials and structure. At best it might explain ancient recordings of sightings in the sky I suppose.

  7. OK Johnny

I'm reading between the lines here.

You are a Christian, who, after actually THINKING about the fable of Noah's Ark, you have decided that it is so proposperous, it could not possibly be true.

But since it is in the Bible, it HAS to be true.

    What a dilemma!

Why not create an even MORE proposperous story to somehow explain it.

Here's a better idea. See the light. Free your mind from the scourge of religion

  8. Cool idea... what would it explain though? The mass extinctions? The gaps in fossil records? I dunno, its a cool idea still. I sometimes wonder if the native americans were visited. I think that would explain more.

  9. Well, it's certainly more plausible, but still completely insane.

  10. Well, where would have our history come from then? The artifacts from well over 10,000 years ago? The bones from dinosaurs from millions of years ago?

Besides, we have some proof of a world wide flood on this planet. It's probably what started the whole Noah's Ark myth in the first place.

  11. *Repents* Im joining any religion wif space ships.

Laptop Jesus: Theres no other explanation. Paul MUST be Mick Jagger! It makes so much sense!

" I must has found t3h ark, cus ur *** is out of this world!" -Master Ch33f, to Cortana.

  12. What if the Apostle Paul was really Mick Jagger?

  13. Yes...

But there is no account for this scenario.

    Edit: nigelshiftright's response is interesting.

  14. Whatever floats your boat is OK by me.

If enough people subscribe to your theory it may become the newest religion.......see how religions begin?

    Hogwash  !!!!!!!

  15. Another silly what if question where the premise of the question is false.

  16. This theory, makes some actual sense.

  17. It must have been a Tardis. How else could he have fit all the animals inside.

  18. You are smart to question everything in order to strengthen your faith. There is geological proof of a great flood, and possibly evidence of the boat somewhere in Turkey, so I'd be inclined to stick with the Ark.

  19. Interesting idea

  20. It sounds like scientology.

    ____

  21. Actually that thought has crossed my mind before.  :-)

Oftentimes, truth is stranger than fiction.

  22. I know a fundie literalist who claims just that.  He says that the ark was a spaceship and all the animals were cryogenically frozen for the duration of the flood, then re-deposited on earth when it was habitable again.
