Look, I can assure you that not only is the Hokey Pokey not what it's all about but that if you listen carefully the song never says that's what it's all about.  It says:

"YOU DO the Hokey Pokey

And you turn yourself around

That's what it's all about."

Got that?  It's all about what you are doing.  In other words if you choose not to do the Hokey Pokey then that's what it's all about.

You know, i might be reading into this way to much, but am i the only one who thinks this sounds like some ancient ritual that could have been preformed, like hundreds of years ago? Its just it sounds like something an old tribe or something would do for a ceremony like, talking to the dead or something!
