What if the US government engage in commerce instead of taxing people?

the government already runs the US Postal Mall.

why not US OIL CORP, they can even get into retail and sell computers, groceries or cars. they can get all the money they need on commerce, so americans don't have to pay taxes anymore.

taxation is a part of commerce......the US tried all this before but it turned out that the materials and labour cost was too high.

why would you want your tax dollars going to run poorly run companies?  

Most years the post office is self sufficent.

Less government is good government.

Flat tax (if you must tax) is the way to go.

No. No! NO!! Go read your Constitution! If the Founding Fathers  saw the size of government today, they'd be rolling in their graves! Get the government out of my life both business and personal.

As far as taxes go, the Fair Tax (http://www.fairtax.org) would go a long way to stimulate the economy.
