What if the fire is on the stairs?

Y'a know how they tell you that you can't use the elevator during a fire, well what if the fire was on the stairs. And just to make it interesting, you are on the 5th floor, so you can't jump out the window, theres no fire escape, the fire extinguisher has been thrown out INTO the fire (by some dummy) and it is the ONLY set of stairs. JUST WONDERING!! =)

Since everyone knows that all the fireproof electric cords are kept in the fancy offices, which are of course on the 5th floor, wrap yourself in fireproof electric cords(unplugged of course, be safe!), and run through the fire because it is only taking up 3 steps. =]...OH GUESS WHAT I JUST THOUGHT OF!....GO DOWN THE ELEVATOR AND HOPE THE FIRE HASNT SPREAD!!!

There is no way the fire can be on the stairs.  Just don't drink the cool aid. :)

tough luck- i would climb onto the roof and jump into a nearby tree, and if i am lucky, the tree wont break!! maybe there is some way i can get down from there!!
