  1. We would be up to our eyeballs in garbage.

You should check out this cute movie about the consumption and trash in America:  http://www.storyofstuff.com/

  2. there will be more extraction of raw materials

    there will be more waste

there will be change in the environment

imagine a single aluminum can on the street, it will take almost 30 years for the can to recycle itself, it will only take 5 seconds for us to recycle it. we should realize this. we should.. think again.

diapers disintegrate for a hundred or more years. imagine one single diaper thrown away in a few minutes time. imagine the raw materials used, the energy consumed, the pckaging of it, and the transportaion of it just to be used for less than a day. imagine how many babies are veing born each day that will be needing this diapers. imagine our waste.

  3. Nothing would happen! It does not matter if you recycle it's all going to the same place when the super nova appears.

  4. if there were no recycling we would probably be in a serious danger. i mean if we always get iron from mines and not using the used iron, this old iron must be thrown in some fields right ?

so through time it will take a large size of landfill. according to papers, well as we know papers come from trees and if we keep cutting trees for papers we will lose a lot of trees and trees filter the air (takes co2 and gives o2). i think without recycling we would be in serious danger situation :(

  5. we will run out of resources.

Imagine that all metals are coming from mining industry and not from recycled matters (car, ships etc.).

We have to live into junkyard ... as larger junkyards will consume all the land ;) .

Almost similar story for other kind of recyclable materials too.

  6. There is going to be more pollution and no place to put all this garbage. This can cause limited resources and more toxic waste that can alter the ecosystem.

  7. Recycling is must inorder to conserve the present pollution statistics.(water, waste etc)

Suppose if we consider waste eg:plastic waste there are many advantages with recycling like contrlloing huge amounts of solid waste.

even if we take electronic waste there are h**l lot of advantages with recycling like recovery of metals, reuse etc ultimately saving our environment.

Like this the examples are oodles.

So..if there is no recycling the waste increases tremendously leading to disposal problems and consequently further depleting the sorroundings in one or the other way.

  8. Someone would come up with a way to dispose of it. Throughout history major problems have been solved by people with the courage to against popular consensus and come up with a real solution. People will always dominate this planet, so get over it.
