I think that you want an a priori reason for oil to be in the crust.  There is none.  The oil accumulated as a result of the breakdown of plants and bacteria, but there was no prior purpose for this.

....or maybe that's the reason that we're having the global warming. Perhaps the oil was a shielding layer for the earth's crust... or maybe the oil reflected the heat and now the earth is absorbing more heat, thus the warming effect...

...I don't think humans, in general, really care if it was there for a reason... as long as they can get immediate satisfaction for their energy needs...

if their  reassaon for it then well find out  when its all gone. but usa is smart were buying oil  and  not  using  are own   so if war start over the usa and they  cut oil suppile we still have a ton left
