What if we voted against the war with our tax dollars?

If the administration will not acknowledge our votes or our wish to get out of Iraq, what if all of us against the war withheld paying our taxes untl we bring our troops home. I am not saying not to pay taxes, just hold them back ( in escrow if you will) unti the poiticians hear what we are saying.

Vote with something that has meaning to policitians. Obvioulsy our votes do not count.

How do we spread the word on this idea?

  1. What makes you think you currently owe federal income tax?

Oh, you think your current government is corrupt? Have I got some news for you...

If you want to stop paying taxes you don't owe, just tell your employer to stop withholding. By law, they are required to stop. But if you tell the government you're withholding taxes for the reason you gave, they will prosecute you, on the basis that it is assumed you legally owe taxes. Do some research and learn that there is NO LAW requiring you to file a federal income tax return or to pay any federal income tax.

  2. That's why this type of government works, and the type that you advocate doesn't.

If every time something was unpopular, and was "voted with the wallet", do you think ANYTHING would get done.

We have elections every 4 years for a reason, so our voices can be heard.

We were told from the beginning that this War would be like no other ever fought, that it would be long, hard and cost both treasure and lives.

Well, it has.  I personally don't want to see the 12th caliphate in my lifetime, nor in my children's.  Islamofasicts want one thing; our submission to Islam, or our destruction.

    Never submit

    Never surrender.

  3. have fun with that one buddy.  I think I would choose to NOT p**s off the IRS
