  2. Yes they do, My husband was incharge of dive motivaters, In waukegan, Il. (Chicago). That is part of basict raining.

  3. I think so. I think you have to take extensive swimming classes, so they should teach you there.

  4. swimming is part of boot camp. i suggest you take a class first. I believe you will fail if you don't already know. I am sure they will teach you.

    Join the Army, They stay on the ground.

To my knowledge all branches of the Armed Forces require recruits to pass a basic swim test.  This mainly consists survival strokes, treading water, and floating.  The Navy will teach you everything you need to pass the test.  The instructors are capable and will help you learn how to swim.  Good luck.

  8. My husband was in the Navy and he cant swim or float to save his life. lol I dont know how he managed to make it through bootcamp but he did. They do help.
