What if you don't like your boss and coworker, how do you deal with this?

I work with a very annoying girl named April. There is nothing very specific that I can point out, but it is the little things she does that annoy the c**p out of me. My boss, Beth is annoying too. She always has problems at home and brings them to work in tears and expects us to counsel her. I know I should get a new job, but that wouldn't happen for awhile, so what are some good tips for dealing with this? What would you do?

  1. The way people behave is generally the way they are going to continue to behave.  Ask yourself whether you want to put up with this for another six months or another year.  Then ask yourself why you're putting up with it now.  There are a lot of jobs out there.  Find one where the people you have to work with don't irritate you so much.

  2. I also have a job with people that drive me crazy and I am looking for another job everyday.  As far as I see it, they are never going to change, so I just have to take myself out of the situation.  In the mean time I am just trying to learn to live with it.  I have to be professional and just deal with them the best that I can.  But I would recommend starting to look for something else as soon as you can.

  3. You know that you're pretty much out if you're coming to YA :).

I've had much experience working with groups of women and it can be h**l!  Problem is that if you're not interested (it will show eventually) or not giving into the drama, your evaluations will read like 'Needs to work on communication skills' or something to that effect.

I've only worked with a handful of women who do not bring their problems to the office or do not act like a wreck 24/7.  The bad thing is that it had nothing to do with age, education, industry or even race.

I resolved it by getting skills for jobs where there is too much work going on for BS or work alone and report to no more than 2 people.
