What if you dont have the D&D books that are required?

i want to find stuff online that will tell me or even some cheap stuff to buy that will tell me hwo to lvl up and other things like that

This site has almost everything the books have ranging from special races to rules. If you scrounge through it enough I imagine you could find a chart of how much experience you need a level.

But if your talking about 4 edition DnD... I'm sorry to say but you may be out of luck. I have yet to find a site with 4 edition books but there might be somewhere.

If you just want the leveling for 3rd edition though, nothing else, I can send you the experience required to leveling from my players handbook and if you want the experience for each challenge rating of monsters I could probably send that as well.

Otherwise, that website should have most everything you need for leveling, game mechanics, combat mechanics, classes, so on and so forth.

avlis13 has the right idea, that website is a godsend. If you want the books, try amazon.com and try getting some used ones.
