What if you dream of falling, but someone catches you?

To be more specific I had tripped when i sat up from siting on the stairs and I fell. I feared the wish i made when i was depressed (which was to fall down the stairs on my head && land on concrete to forget my whole life) was going to happen. The stairs were metal, but in my dream I was so positive I was going to fall on concrete and forget my three very best friends. One of them, the one that I'm in love with just stood up and catched me. He held me by my waist and made me stay with him so he could protect me & watch me. He did that until someone needed his help for something then he came back to me and asked if i was okay. Then i woke up. Only thing is in real life my phobia is of falling and I never thought he would catch me he does have feelings for me and cares about me alot though. He's very overprotective of me. We're not together cause he doesn't want to break my heart and ruin over friendship. Well anyways, I was never sure how much I could trust him. So anyone can help me identify this dream? Please & thank you.

  1. Other people often represent ourselves especially when we see ourselves like you dreamed. It's like you said your concern about falling, and when you dreamed you fell, you prevented yourself from falling in the figure of someone else. Using someone else like your friend, and how you feels about him, could be just a representation of how you feel about him. Sometimes we feel the need to fall in love or have that feeling activated during our sleep that it leaves a strong impression on us. It is just like any emotion that is activated to us while we are sleeping, like crying, happy, laughing, being in love, etc... If you really like the person, then don't mind risking what you have with him for a chance of something more, then take a risk. But remember, sometimes it's all or nothing at all.

  2. i think you don't trust yourself enough. you don't have any faith in yourself either. i get the feeling you want to fall though...so he is forced to catch you. that way, it was neither your choice nor his. it simply happened. i think deep down you'd want to be with him, but by no choice or conscious will of your own. it would need to simply be.

  3. In your dream, your friend represents your spirit guide.  You can have faith that someone is going to help you through the troubling times in your life.
