I was in car with husband, he is the only named on policy, now I have neck and back pain, (we had a spin out in the rain), then ended up in a ditch and hit the hill in the median. How would this afect the policy? What if I have to go to the doctor? Would it be worth doing this, going to doctor? What if there is a medical need? Meaning is this going to cost more than would be worth it?

  1. You could try to google it ,here is some direct resource might be helpful.http://car-insurance.online-tips.info/ca...

  2. Everything depends on the rules of your state and what insurance company you have and what coverages you have. i work for state farm in texas and the way we work is you have a personal injury protection coverage for injurys. PIP will protect your husband and anyone else in the insureds vehicle. other then that i would say you should talk to your insurance agent to see what coverages you have.

  3. Well be careful how you respond at the hospital - your medical insurance company will not pay the bills & make you pay out for a car accident - I learned this 3K later :(

  4. It depends on the language in your policy and the laws of the state where the accident happened.

It will be considered an at fault accident. So there is a good chance your insurance rates will go up.

Your best bet is to go speak with your agent about it.
