Question:

What if you haven't pooped in a week or so?

And I've talked to the doctor a bit.

My mom doesn't seem to take me seriously, Yeah she says eat fiber, drink water, but...It seems like she's making fun of me sometimes. And This is getting too serious, or atleast that's what I think. I don't know why this all of the sudden happened. Is it because of a change in my life like stress? Could that be a reason for this?

  1. Ugh!  Have you tried taking a laxative?  I know how you feel....just miserable!  It does help if you eat for fiber, but you have to drink plenty of water with the fiber.  My family eats a side salad with dinner almost every night.  I started adding an apple to it.  That has really helped me stay regular.  Have your mom buy you a laxative and if that doesn't work you may have to resort to an e***a.

    My bf ate a 5 pound bag of twizzlers in about an hour & didnt p**p for almost 2 weeks b/c of it & thats what he had to do

  3. Stress can cause a lot of issues with your body so it could very well be that. But your mother is right. Get lots of fiber going through your system and it should help make you more regular. Going once a week is not healthy at all.

    Try exercising too. Sometimes after a good fast paced walk, that will be enough to make me go.

    Fruit will help too. Just make sure you are eating healthy. All the doctor will do is put you on medication and personally, I can't stand that.

    Speaking of medication, have you been taking anything new? That can s***w up your system as well.

    Or as my mother-in-law says.... pray to the WannaKaKa Gods ;) haha. But I think you have a better chance with my other ideas cause she is just crazy lol.

    It's hard for me to say why you may be constipated because I do not know your eating/drinking habits, but if the doc did not say anything is wrong medically then maybe your mom is right.

    Try to eat high fiber foods. I became regular once I cut out processed foods and drank a lot of water. Try to have 2 pieces of fruit a day and veggies 2-3 times a day. Drink water, not sugary drinks or caffeinated  drinks. Also, try to exercise, that can help move things along.

    In the mean time to resolve this non pooping issue take a laxative....start with half a dose and be sure you will be staying home for the next 8-12 hours ;) have plenty of fluid to drink as you are emptying out.

  5. As above, an e***a is what you need - urgently!  Infrequent bowel movements lead to intestinal autointoxication.

  6. stress could be a cause. you shold try taking a luight laxetive(sp?) or eating only fruit for a day.
