  1. If you're playing hard and fast league rules, or even at the bar with people who are really taking the game semi-seriously, you HAVE to call the 8 ball, you really should call any shot that could be iffy, and it might even be a good idea to call EVERY shot, just so there are no problems.

As for the other part of your question:  if you scratch on the 8 ball, you lose.  I'm saying this assuming that you're not playing by BCA rules, which most people don't use unless they're in a BCA pool league.  Scratching on the 8 is a loss regardless of whether the 8 falls in a pocket or not (excluding BCA rules, which say that as long as the 8 ball didn't fall you didn't lose).

    Hope this answers your question!

  2. you lose. plain and simple.

  3. Both went in ,Its a loss

  4. you lose

  5. it is a loss while making the 8 but if you didnt make the 8 it is a ball in hand foul for the other player if he is also on the 8 its as good as game over

  6. you hill lose anyway

  7. Yes. You must ALWAYS call the 8 ball and all balls, unless you're playing "slop".  Even in "slop" (where you are not required to call your shots) you still have to call the 8 ball.

Scratching on the 8 ball  =  loss of game.

Rack 'em up and get 'em next time.

  8. yes you turly lose it is a rule i dont like but it is a rule that people in forse i would just spot the 8

  9. You have to call what pocket for 8 ball and doesnt matter if you pocket the q ball before or after the 8, you lose
