  2. Then your policy will lapse. That means you will not have insurance coverage and will be personally responsible for any damages/injuries you cause.  

  3. Your coverage will be lapse and be void and your insurer will notify the appropriate state agency who may revoke your driving privileges.  

  4. Well for me if I don't pay my car insurance they will cancel it...and I won't have insurance.

  5. If you let your policy lapse and have a car loan and your lender finds out, they will charge you outrageous rates for default insurance.

    I pay my insurance annually, but apparently some people pay more per month than I pay per year for 2 vehicles.  I read about someone paying $300 upfront and $180/week (ouch!).
