Well for me if I don't pay my car insurance they will cancel it...and I won't have insurance.

If you let your policy lapse and have a car loan and your lender finds out, they will charge you outrageous rates for default insurance.

I pay my insurance annually, but apparently some people pay more per month than I pay per year for 2 vehicles.  I read about someone paying $300 upfront and $180/week (ouch!).
