  1. Well, I just  WOULDN'T take medicine that said 'don't take while pregnant' because that would be stupid and could put my baby's health or development at risk.

Hope you are not looking for a way to abort a baby.

  2. Talk to your doctor immediately. It would depend on what it's for.

  3. CALL YOUR DOCTOR AND ASK!! A lot of drug companys put that on there incase something happens to you and the baby it was on there and you can not sue them with out sueing the doctor first. I do take some over the counter meds that my doctor said was okay.

  4. why the h**l one would do it?

  5. It depends on the medication.  Some have been tested on pregnant women and are proven safe.  Others have been proven to have harmful effects on a growing fetus.  Most are unknown because its unethical to test unknown drugs on pregnant women.  Here is a link where you can find out whether the specific drug can be taken when pregnant.

    http://www.webmd.com/baby/guide/taking-m...

  6. The baby might have birth defects or problems.

  7. It depends on the medication.

Some are known to put baby at risk for problems.  Others are 'recommended' to not take simply because nothing is known for certain. (Scientists can't do controlled research studies on pregnant women, so there are few drugs where effects on the fetus are actually known.)

  8. Depends, all meds have a category A, B, C, D and X.

If it is X there can be serious problems. The others are a balancing act.

If you go to http://www.safefetus.com/ you can type in the medication and find out the category and the research.

  9. Who knows what would happen, and I doubt you would want to put your baby in a predicament of having problems, birth defects, early labor, etc.  Always talk to your doctor before taking ANY medications while your pregnant.

  10. i don't think it is about what will happen but what could.

  11. Birth defects.

  12. never EVER take anything without talking to your doctor.  You don't know what the medication will do.  He or a pharmacist can tell you, but it's not worth it to mess with meds unless your doctor tells you it's ok.

  13. im assuming you mean MEDICATION not meditation. they are 2 differnt things. one is something made by pharmacists to aid in illnesses and the other is a techinque used for relaxation.

the reason they say dont take it is becuase it might cause complications to the mother or even the fetus. in a developing fetus they dont want anything to happen to the development (3 arms, 1 eye, whatever it is) what they want you to do is contact your doctor and ask if its ok to take the medication.

  14. theres a reason it says not to take it...it could kill or hurt the baby

  15. u never know what could happen depends on the drug
