the children in my friends family only want to learn facts (science).

they argue if you try to indoctrinate them with opinion.

they say that opinion is up for debate and they don't feel like wasting time learning things that are not fact.

is this something commonly found among children these days ? i find that very interesting for little childrent to say. maybe, they are a lot smarter then my generation !!!

  1. How are they going to get along in this world without understanding opinions. Science (facts ) begin with opinions ... when opinions are proven they become facts .

It's interesting , but they need to learn much more than facts.

  2. Are those children from the planet Earth?  I've never known a child in my LIFE who doesn't have his own opinion about EVERYTHING!  Sounds like those children are parroting their parents.  Sad to not WANT to have an opinion, have it heard, and make it count.  Bet they don't vote either, huh?

  3. How old are these children? Sounds to me like they have been pushed by their parents to think this way. It would be good for the children to take a course that deals with subjects from a different cultural, social, literary, or religious perspective. This will allow the child to develop a better understanding as to why some people have certain beliefs and how humanity has developed culturally throughout the world.

Courses such as this if taught from the proper prospective will benefit the child. It will allow the child to develop an educated position when defending their own beliefs instead of just being seen as closed minded.
