What if your country couldnt grow crops? ?

If your home country couldnt grow crops due to infertile land, would you have to import the vegies or would you eat something else..( more meats, milk products) What would you do?

Either, or both.

There are plenty of places where the land is not tillable.  High elevations, and scruffy vegetation, mostly supporting grasses.  In those places, the people evolved into herders - usually raising goats.  People can't live on grass, but goats can.  And people can live on goats.

It's kinda logical...if you can't produce, you import. What you import depends on that the population wants to eat......isn't that kinda logical?
