  2. First, the woman who gave birth, then as the legal paperwork catches up, and basically (in the states I've researched) an adoption proceeding is done, and then the birth certificate will be changed to your name.

  3. I guess your name would go on it.  I don't know.  That situation is just...........wierd.

  4. In most states, there are rules / laws about this that must be followed. I would check it out legally as the surrogate mother's name "deserves" to be somewhere on the birth certificate, even if her egg wasn't used.
