what if your wife threaten you and you just up in leave and move out is that called abandonment

It really depends on the state.  Abandonment in those terms would be a civil issue for a divorce proceeding, not a criminal issue, but I am assuming you know that.

Pretty much but it's not against the law. She left because she's sick of you. I'd file for Divorce and move on. No sense in worrying over what you can't change.

Not if you can prove you were threatened. YOu were in fear for your safety and you removed yourself from a dangerous situation
