What if… the Chinese gymnasts are proven underage and it’s all over the news…?

1. What will happen to the credibility of IOC and Jacques Rogge?

2. What will happen to the Chinese gymnasts?

3. How will the Chinese people deal with it?

4. How will the Chinese government deal with it?

Please don’t debate if the Chinese gymnasts are underage or not. There have been many posts about that.

1. They would apologize and it would mark down their credibiltiy

2. They would have to give up all their medals

3. They would say its westerners fraud and stuff

4. They would be pissed and make sure to get the gold medals again next

me and my home country of china would be devasted....... the gymnast wont be arrested but might be testified against the government will be disastouraus cause this was chinas chance to prove to the world there not communisct anymroe and r more open open.

They can't be proven underage because the Chinese government can just make up birth certificates and say that they are real. The Chinese gymnasts probably don't even know their own real ages.

1. They will look like idiots because they keep saying their documents are in order all along.

2. It will be very bad for them. They were forced into this. They might even be ostracized. They will be stripped not just of medals but of dignity. It's the government's fault though but they won't care.

3. They will still believe what their government says as they always do, blame the West.

4. Keep declaring that the gymnasts are 16 and say the whole world is persecuting them and spin more lies so the Chinese people will stand by them. This is how they do it there.

just for get it . The USA had a 15 diver who cares.  The Chinese did a great job !I don't think anyone can top that. We  need to make peace not war .

Why should we discriminate against the child and the older people? They also have right to take part in great events such as Olympic games. I think we should learn to respect their human rights.

3-4 - China will be very upset and everyone will blame the US as usual, even though the US obeyed the rules,  did not cheat and did not initiate the underage scandal in the media.

Edit - The rules for diving allow a participant to be 15. The rules of gymnastics specify 16 so that the gymnasts will not damage themselves. The rule is to protect the girls. The US did not break any rules.

1)Nothing will happen to their credibility, the blame will go to China.

2)They might disappear. Whatever that might mean.
