Assignments that you complete throughout the course, and which are counted towards your final grade along with your exam marks. They're usually marked by your teacher, but a proportion are looked at by the exam board to ensure the teachers are marking appropriately.

Not all subjects have coursework, but most do. There is usually only one or two pieces of coursework to complete for each subject.
