  1. Since ur telling that u wil be uploading them into "myspace" i recommend u the very basic one now i.e 1024 X 768 this gives u the perfect size on ur system and gives u enough clarity of the image..if u need it for the photo printing then try taking images of higher resolution of about 2000+  X  1000+..since ur telling about the storage online use 1024 X768.

  2. Well, some people will not agree with me--but the saying, "You can never be too rich / thin / beautiful" applies here.

Set it at the highest. You'll never know that one-in-a-life-time shot you just made may need to be printed in a poster size.

Or you can go back in time, about five years, and use one of those camera that can only take the VGA resolution (640 x 480). Images were fuzzy and were not even good enough for the web.

Memory cards are cheap and can be reused. Erase what you don't like--but keep the ones you do.

  3. if it's just on myspace you can get away with 1-2mp if you want the pictures to look good on full screen go with 4-5mp

  4. I think you should always take the biggest, highest-quality picture your camera is capable of.  Otherwise, you should've bought a cheaper camera!

You can always resize the image once you put it on your computer.  Nowadays, memory is cheap, so you might as well take big pictures.
