What impact did typhoon Nuri did to you?

My cousin got stuck up in a massive delayed flight from his way from San Fransisco to Singapore, the layover stop at Hong Kong for refuelling for 1.5hrs and then due to Typhoon Nuri its been a big problem having many number of flights delayed and or been cancelled. There is diorganization taking place in HK airport. Whats your take on this?
