Technology has brought us great improvements in healthcare (advanced screening, cervical cancer vaccine), aerospace (the International Space Station and new GPS technology) science, (new theories about the beginning of the universe, the Large Hadron Collider), not to mention startling growth in countries such as China and Russia. New weaponry and advances in war fighting has also brought us new realities, such as the ability to destroy huge sections of cities without nuclear weapons, and infect an entire civilization while remaining immune. This new reality has all come from technological advances over the last ten years.
