  1. Cane toads have extremely high reproductive rates. Their populations can proliferate in short periods of time. Some effects that they have had on native Australian species include:

    A big problme concerns snakes.  Many australian snakes have frogs as a major part of their diet.  So many species no longer occur in areas with high toad numbers.

Large animals like crocs and pythons are also effected negatively as they try to eat the cane toad only to find out thats its toxins are so string that they themselves die.
