if u r white u will think that he has not contributed much.  if u r black, he has made significant contributions with his views, thesis etc .  it really depends on how we view society - whether integration thru peaceful or strong arm tactics is preferred.  it probably need a balance of some rigid laws, acceptance, tolerance to make it successful.   definitely he has made +ve contribution.  he has awakened and highlighted the inequalities in our society.  redress is required
