All the places mentioned above are must see:El Yunque, Caverns at Camuy, Arecibo Observatory, the beaches, and the view from the mountains are all spectacular, but a little known fact is that Puerto Rico has 2 bioluminscent bays (of like 7 in the world), one of which (in Vieques) is probably the brightest in the world! That is definately a once-in-a-lifetime experience.....

    im sure there is more to see, but i havent seen the whole island yet. i guess the best things to see, its along the coastal area, if u like to see amazing rivers, forests, sugar and coffee fields then u should go to the middle of the island.

There are many sights on the island thousands.Some of the best are viejo San Juan for history and night life,El Yunque is a Beautiful rainforest with tropical plants and tall mountains with sweeping views of Puerto rico coastline and countryside,Rio Camuy caves is spectacular with its big cave system and underground river.Waterfalls galore.Go to Pinones for some good native food,with its beachside huts selling native food.Pinones also haves open streches of palm lined beaches just east of san juan on route 187.Insted of heading to Luquillo beach go to seven seas in nearby fajardo with its emty beach and white sand and turquiose water is a must see.From fajardo you can go sailing to small paradise cays off the shoe these islands are breathtaking..To the west of puerto rico Rincon and Cabo rojo have the most beautiful Caribbean sunsets and a score of beautiful caribbean beaches also.Enjoy the island of enchantment.If in san juan stay near Isla Verde its more modern with a better beach. The cordillera central the island central mountain range has a route called ruta panoramica or panoramic route wich takes you trough the islands central mountains.
