  1. If you don't study Comparative Religions, then you're liable to go around thinking that the religion that you were "born into", is the only correct one!

  2. It depends on what school you go to. If you go to a religious school, you probably will have to take it. If you go to a regular school, you probably won't. Good luck!

  3. Nobody has to study comparative religions, unless you're a theology or philosophy major; however, you should study comparative religions if you want to be educated in history, current events, political science, anthropology and be able to deduce for yourself what you believe in.  Almost all major events have been influenced by religion - from the founding of the Americas (Colombus promised to spread Catholicism) to the extremist Muslims and subsequent terrorism.

  4. Obviously it is a look at the different religions out there. It is important to study, because religion has a great impact on history, society, and politics. Understand something about the many religions out there and you will understand the world around you more clearly.

It is important to note that they are not "all the same." That statement exudes ignorance and contempt. Much like saying that "Hispanics are all the same." Try saying that to one if and only if you want your nose bent.

  5. It's a field of science concern about the differences between religions, & their fellow's beliefs..

No you should't study it unless u like to enhance yor knowledge about other religions, I read many books about that, one of them is "World's religion" written by Dr.Smith,

u could find amazing thing about world's religions especially "Islam, Christianity,Bohdism"
