I understand many ranchers use them is it possible to convert human waste to energy with them?

Also is possible to use food waste in them as an alternative to composting?

brilliant idea. yes you can use human waste. yes its a better alternative to composting because you capture the methane from the anaerobic breakdown rather than CO2 being emitted by a compost heap during aerobic breakdown. also the soil conditioner produced is as good or better than standard compost, and is ready much faster.
