I had allot of dvds and instead of always cleaning them and attempting to repair them I want a way to prevent the scratches and fingerprints from getting on them in the first place. There is an item that is a thin film of clear plastic that is applied directly to the read surface of the dvd disc sort of like window tinting for windows. Once this is placed on the disc it is protected from prints and scratches. Then when the film gets dirty, worn or scratched you just replace with a new one.

I know of two products that are availabe for this but one is not really good and it's called "D skins". They sort of loosley clip on over the bottom of the disc but don't actually stick to it. I'm interested in the other product. I went into best buy about a year ago and bought some of these protective film covers. I think there was about 50 in one dvd case. I got them home and opened the package to apply one but the instructions that were inside said that I needed to apply them with a special applicator device sold seperately. So that's what I need, I need to know the product "name" of the protective films and the name of the application device so I can look them up online and see if I can buy them as a set or seperately. Can anyone help with this who may have or know of it? Thanks
