  1. Hey, I think I heard two guys in white coats yelling something about "here's your meds!"

  2. The American Dollar is historically at a low, but it is still strong compared to other nations.  The Euro, which has many countries contributing to one currency, is barely stronger than the Dollar.

I think you are directing your anger at the wrong person and people entirely.  The problem with our currency is not a political party issue.  The problem is that our money is not backed by Gold or anything substantial.  The Federal Reserve (who is neither Federal, nor a Reserve) prints our money out of control.  This leads to massive inflation that causes all the booms and busts, like you are seeing now.

Don't look to have these problems fixed by the next President.  McCain and Obama both support the status quo.  They differ only on things of little importance and are both members of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).

These are the consequences of an Empire...

  3. Not even the most conservative observer can see a way out of this current mess. The housing market will continue to decline, the dollar has no immediate future, you're crazy if you think the price of oil will ever go down, doesn't matter who gets elected, we're in Iraq for at least another year and now the idiot in office is trying to ramp up things in Afghanistan.

Let's not forget that as of today nobody has taken any action to improve things and nobody has any idea what to next.

They just don't care. It's so out of control that everyone is just scrambling for themselves. Things aren't going to get worse before they get better...they're just going to get worse.

  4. The only way to recover is to get rid of those who caused the problem in the first place, which is to get rid of the majority of liberals Democrats in the congress. THAT'S when the economy went south. Presidents, regardless of who they are, have little effect on the economy. That is congress's job. For you to think that Bush, or any President, is responsible for the economy, good or bad, shows just how dimwitted you are. Add to that liberal refusal to recognize this truth and we won't be doing any better any time soon.

  5. What is wrong with the economy rests squarely on the shoulders of Americans. THe public took out mortgages they couldn't afford. The public has thousands of dollars in credit card debt. The public fails to understand the difference between a want and a need. The public treats their home like a stationary ATM. It doesn't matter who is in office- as long as we are a debtor nation the chickens will come home to roost every now and then.

Cut up your credit cards, save for retirement, save for emergencies, pay off your mortgage. Do the right thing

  6. The economic mess was created and left by the Clintons!

  7. if you think things are bad now just wait

  8. Decode this lyrics " Wild,wild world"

    It's a " Mad, mad world"

With " Say you say me"

    Luke 6.39-40,41-45,46-49

    What do you think?

  9. You are obviously quite young if you think our economy is horrible.  We have overcome many much worse times in this country.  What's happened lately is just a slight "blip".

  10. Isn't it great that we live in a country where you can espouse your disdain for your elected officials AND be afforded the RIGHT to vote for officials you think would be better suited for the job?  You can call your congressmen, senators, city officials and even participate in grass-root campaings for their elections.  We have the ability and freedom to be a part of the solution.  Heck, we even have the right to sit around and wallow in our own self pity for that matter!

  11. Considering the US economy is the most powerful in the world I am not quite sure what you mean my 'horrible mess'.

  12. I agree that the dollar should be strengthened, and that inflation is a concern.  Rate hikes would be painful, but necessary in the long run.

  13. we are all in the same boat through out the world. we are in crisis and need to rise up the people against those taking all our money in taxes put on everything

  14. Too many Americans suffer from the blinders of the fact they think history starts the day they were born. Or history starts the day they first acknowledge history.

The dollar has fallen in value before. It has fallen in value today. The dollar will fall in value again.

Resessions come and go. In fact they come and go about every 8 - 12 years. They generally last 6 month to about 18 months.

When the US goes into a recession - the entire world follows. When the world goes into a recession the US follows.

Will it recover? Absolutely. Do I have to be Bush defender to think so? NO, I have history on my side. Will the dollar rebound? Yes, but at what cost?

Part of our reduced dollar value is because of the national debt. Right, wrong or indifferent the US has always had a debt that it owed itself.

And while spending money on rebuilding after 9/11, wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have added to the debt, the plain and simple truth of the matter is we as the American people continue to elect politicians that spend too much money.

Back in the late 60's & 70's when our elected politicians (then mostly democrats) found out they could spend the surplus money in the Social Security funds on making everything fair to poor people, we as the American public started a ball rolling for disaster.

Today, our largest segment of the population will be living off of and receiving government funding in the form of Social Security checks. In 1939, this wasn't a problem. There was 20 workers for every person collecting a social security check. Today, the ratio (yes math was something you should have paid attention too) is closing in on 1 worker for every three people cashing the check. Yes instead of 20 workers supporting 1 we now have 1 worker supporting 3.

The Math doesn't look good for the future. Under Bush, we now spend money on Rx drugs in the name of making life fair. Asking that same single worker to provide RX money for the 3 people on support.

If that's not enough, we now face the real problem on having an elected politician inact a socialised health care plan. Paying out trillions of dollars to people. With the same eventual ratio of worker to receipent problem Social Security faces today.

The largest economic problem facing this country is government involvement and a mentallity of the majority of people think the government owes them something.

Kiss the dollar good bye once Obama is elected. Socialism and psuedo-communism will rule the day.

  15. lol, who told you it's worthless? It's still one of the strongest currencies worldwide. People around the world would gladly accept dollars over euros and British pounds. Even though those two currencies are a little bit higher than dollar, dollar is still up there and is still one of most respected currencies worldwide.
