What in the world is the " Xbox 3 red rings of death"?

Its when there is something wrong with your xbox a light goes of that is red, and you can either fix it yourself with the instructions from xbox.com

or you will have to send it in and they will fix it for you. Don't worry the xbox is worth buying though!

Silly Little Truffle. The Red Ring of Death is so common that mostly  everyone knows what it is. You hear it on the news or you hear your friends talk about it. It is a overheating  problem that causes your Xbox to go dead as in not working. It is okay becasue the new Xbox's have less of a problem with the 3 Red Rings Of Death. Mainly the Elites. Anyway if this problem occurs you have 3 years worranty to back up this problem up. Just keep the ventilation of the Xbox and as well keep out of inclosed spaces. The Xbox 360 is a good console and don't let the 3 Red Rings of Death get you down. If not you can buy a PS3. Do not listen to these fanboys telling you to buy this or that. Eevery console has a problem and remember nothing is perfect.

Don't buy a 360. They have to many glitches/problems with them... "Red-Ring" is when your 360 dies. Buy a PS3 (I'm going to) better made system.

3 Red ring of death, or RROD, is when the 360 heats up/breakdown, and as a sort of warnign meaasssage ( simialr ot the Blue Screen of Death) lights up the "Ring of Light" on the front as biright Red.

Thisis an infamous problme with the 360, It affected about 30% of the origanl consoels, though it has gone down a bit, so it may not happen to you ( but then agian it still might)

if it does hten MS will repalce the console with a refurbished sytem (thogh they can mess that up, see link)

if you are worried out my system suddenly breaking, then wii or ps3, niehter have any major technical fualts.

it just is a indication that something is going wrong with the xbox from there you can get the code of what is wrong and fix it (most of them are easy fixes though)

The lights that are usually green, turn red. Depending on the number (1-4) of lights that turn red, determines the problem. If you get all four, hence the "ring" it will need to be sent into Microsoft, and be prepared to be without it for at least a month.

It is a common error on the xbox 360 that happens all to often. It get's it's nickname from the 3 red ring's that light up around the power button when this happens
