Ok, So today I was on the computer, and then I exited out and left. I was walking past my computer a little later, and I saw an IE window pop up, the URL was called "ego TV", so I saw it for a split second, and then it went away, but there was still some sort of audio feed coming through my speakers, with no programs running. So I go to ctrl+alt+del and I look at the processes, and I saw that there was an ieexplorer.exe running or something, so I exited that out, and it worked. So I thought. I was about to leave when the same thing happened. How can I make this thing stop running itself on my computer?? is it a virus??? Help???

  1. It could be some sort of malware made to open a certain link (in this case, a link to an audio feed), I would be more worried about what the malware is linking to than the malware itself, the site that the audio feed is on could be malicious, and the program is just used to force website hits

  2. ieexplorer.exe is a virus.

    get download firefox!

    http://getfirefox.com

  3. Yes, its a virus (an AdWare). Install an antivirus for your PC to remove it. You can try Avast, its an antivirus with built-in spyware. Its free!

  4. It SOUNDS like some type of spyware, or something of the sort...

    Go download SUPERAntiSpyware

    It's free.

    http://www.superantispyware.com/download...

Download it, make sure it's up-to-date with the latest version...and then do a scan of your computer.
