What in today's socitey is considered to be the age of foolishness?

Like what things/actions support the idea of age of foolishness is what im trying to say

I believe society rates youth and old age as the age of foolishness.  Youth is the time when one has more ideals than ideas and feel that they are too old to take advice.  As we grow old we learn some new way of being stupid as we turn into tyrants and attempt to forbid the pleasures of the youth.

age off foolishness i would assume as the age where you are supported by your parents and do alot of stupid things. that could have moves into birth to the mid 20's now
