If the Sperm is important so is the Ovule to fecondate it...therefore, my answer is the 9 months are more important

It is indeed a trick question but honestly speaking... in my meager opinion its the nine months pregnancy which is more important. As despite that one winning sperm there is also a risk of miscarriages plus abortions too....

It is one of those things which makes women very special and one should respect them for that.

well everything is important because  what if the father is alcoholic or drug addicted for sure the couple should be aware of the genetic information that the sperm is carry on, specially for the risk of some illness of the baby or incapabilities this facts would cause, and this is also applyed for the ovum or egg.... and in the case of the pregnancy period it is also very important, cause every stage is to the generation and development of the embryon and afther called baby so every information coming from inside the mother trought the blood and even from the emotional status from the mother will play a important roll in the development of this baby...external stimulation is also very important so if the father talk to him and touch the belly of the mother the baby will feel...so nothing should be consider less important every stage in pregnancy times need to be care.
